John Hetrick

President

John was one of the original founders of Industrial Concrete Incorporated (ICI) in 1996. He personally oversees every aspect of company operations on a daily basis. His main focus is to manage and control the future growth and development of the company. He has been in the construction industry for over thirty years. In 1982, prior to starting ICI, he formed Hand Construction, Inc., a residential and light commercial construction company. He attended Clarion University in Pennsylvania, majoring in math and computer science. He is a graduate of the Computer Learning Center in Springfield, VA and of the National Hardwood Lumber Association School in Memphis, Tennessee. John has a Class A Contractor’s License in Virginia.


Mike Blank

Place & Finish PROJECT MANAGER

Mike joined ICI in 2008. He is responsible for every aspect of the “Place & Finish” division of ICI. Additionally, he assists the other project supervisors with scheduling and production of various turn-key concrete projects. Mike has an extensive history in the Place & Finish phase of the concrete industry. Mike started his career when he joined the Cement Mason’s Union in 1984. He has worked in the concrete industry for over 25 years and has been part of the concrete phase of many well known projects throughout the Washington DC area such as: Pentagon City, Dulles Rail Station, BWI Car Rental Facility and the Phoenix Project. Mike is certified by the American Concrete Institute as an “ACI Commercial/Industrial Flatwork Finisher.”


Laura Slade

Project Engineer

Laura joined ICI in 2009. Her main responsibility for the company is to ensure the accuracy, quality, speed and scope of the estimates produced for ICI’s customers. Prior to joining ICI, she worked for over 25 years in the engineering field and has been a Project Engineer for reputable firms such as: CHK Architects and Planners, Dewberry and Davis, R.B. Thomas Jr. LTD and Farmer Surveys, Inc. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Platteville. She also received her Master’s Degree in Engineering Administration with an emphasis on Construction Management from George Washington University. In 1990, Laura received her Professional Engineers license in the state of Virginia.
